EHHS Doctoral Alumna Receives AERA Award

Congratulations to Joanna Dickert, Ph. D., the 2022 recipient of American Educational Research Association's Advanced Studies of National Databases Special Interest Group Dissertation award.

Previously a student in the School of Foundations, Leadership and Administration, Dickert's dissertation is titled "An Examination of the Effects of Participation in High-impact Practices Using Propensity Score Analysis with Structural Equation Modeling."

The national competition included applicants who graduated between Jan. 1,  through Dec. 31, 2021, and used national or international databases in their dissertation study.

AERA is a national research society that strives to advance knowledge about education, encourage scholarly inquiry related to education, and promote the use of research to improve education and serve the public good.

The children at the Child Development Center recently held Bioblitz and Field Day hosted by the Center for Ecology and Natural Resource Sustainability.

Nearly 100 people from the Kent community, including parents, families and friends, gathered recently at Hobbs Hall to celebrate the Child Development Center during the annual Robin McManus Scholarship Benefit.

Congratulations to Michelle Adair, an instructor in the Addictions Counseling program, for being named Most Valuable Professor!
