Male Empowerment Network

Male Empowerment Network

Mission Statement

The mission of the Male Empowerment Network is to empower males, specifically men of color, of the Kent State University community to become better individuals and members of our society by equipping them with resources and a communal network. Members of M.E.N. will experience several empowerment sessions throughout the year, while becoming a part of a network of other individuals who have their best interest in mind.

It is the vision of M.E.N. to provide AALANA (African American, Latino American and Native American) male students with the support and network necessary to succeed academically and personally, through graduation at Kent State University, and beyond.

Vision

To foster an environment that connects and equips Men of Color for success: academically, professionally, culturally, and socially.

Values

As a group we value openness, mutual respect, personal and academic excellence, continual self-improvement, and brotherhood. We pride ourselves on being a place where men of color connect and support each other.
