The Garment Games - Inclusion By Design

Kent State University's Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in collaboration with the Fashion School, powered by the Division of Finance and Administration, hosted the Garment Games -- Inclusion By Design, a fashion sportswear design competition.

In early May, Kent State University's Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in collaboration with the Fashion School, powered by the Division of Finance and Administration, hosted the Garment Games -- Inclusion By Design, a fashion sportswear design competition.

The diversity event was developed to promote inclusion across all university campuses and surrounding communities and to celebrate and support the 2014 Gay Games (GG9) coming to Cleveland/Akron in early August.

Kent State Earns Institutional Excellence Award for Diversity Efforts

Kent State University has been awarded the 2014 Institutional Excellence Award by the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education. The award is bestowed on institutions that have shown demonstrable progress in promoting and sustaining innovative diversity efforts within theRecipients of the award are recognized for their commitment to diversity and transformation in the areas of institutional leadership, access, retention and outreach, and professional development opportunities for faculty, staff and students to enrich their understanding and commitment to diversity.
