Kent State University will celebrate Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 18. Kent State alumni, students, faculty, staff and the community are invited to come together to celebrate the Homecoming theme of “Kent State Pride is Worldwide.”

Beverly Warren, Kent State University’s new president, wants to learn what makes the university so exceptional and how we can share our unique story with the world. On July 1, her first day as the university’s leader, Warren began this quest by embarking on a listening tour. 

The Kent State University Alumni Association has announced the five recipients of the 2014 Alumni Awards. The awards recognize and honor alumni who, through leadership, character and hard work, have made exceptional contributions in their chosen field, in their communities and at Kent State.

The following alumni have been selected for 2014:

Andy Baskin, ’90, Distinguished Citizen Award. Baskin resides in Northeast Ohio and serves as sports director for WEWS NewsChannel5 in Cleveland.
