Sexual assault can be committed by strangers, however, the majority of the time it is committed by someone the victim knows. A student accused of sexual assault faces possible criminal, civil, and administrative action. A student convicted of a sexual assaunlt may also be dismissed from the University, Victims are enncouraged to contact the University police as soon as possible.
