What's Happening

Dr. Curtis Stone Memorial Track and Field Fund Established

A gift from Sara Stone Miller, '77, M.M. '79, Ph.D. '85, and her late husband, Terry Ellis Miller, Ph.D. has established the Dr. Curtis Stone Memorial Track and Field Fund. The scholarship honors the legacy of Sara's father, Curtis Charles Stone, D.Ed, a three-time Olympian, World War II veteran and educator.

Aligning Kent State’s Academic Offerings for the Future

As the world of higher education evolves, Kent State University is committed to adapting thoughtfully and responsibly to continue providing exceptional learning experiences. Kenisha Chisholm, ’20: Finding Purpose Through Nutrition

Alumna Kenisha Chisholm, ’20, came to Kent State with a clear sense of purpose influenced by her life experience, persistence and desire to help others heal. Today, she works as a registered dietitian nutritionist for Nourish while also running her own practice, A New Kapeesh Nutrition, LLC.

Alumnus Improves Care for Pediatric Imaging Patients

Kent State University at Salem alumnus Ryan Pavlak, ’14, has spent the past nine years improving pediatric care at Akron Children’s Boardman Campus. As radiology supervisor, he oversees the X-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound departments, ensuring every child gets quality, compassionate care.
