Some traditions never change…they just get better. Whether you’re lining Summit Street for the parade, reuniting with old friends at the Flash Nation tailgate or cheering on the Flashes at the football game, don’t miss the heart of our Homecoming weekend.
Parade and Block Party (9 - 11:30 a.m.)
Kick off the day on Summit Street with our pre-parade block party, featuring games, family fun and the cherished “Kiss on the K” ceremony for campus sweethearts. Then, grab a spot in front of the Kent Student Center to watch the colorful floats and marching band roll by!

Gather just outside Dix Stadium for the ultimate pregame celebration! Enjoy a free lunch (complete with an ice cream truck), live DJ, inflatables, a magician and more! Open to all Flashes of every age, it’s the perfect spot to soak up the game day energy before kickoff.
