Join us in-person for the 22nd Annual Bowman Cup 5k Race and 1-Mile Run-Walk-Roll on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023 as we kickoff Homecoming Week. The race, named after fedora-loving former Kent State University President Dr. George Bowman, will take place during Kent State University Spirit Week.

Get together with fellow alumni, and dance the night away before heading to downtown Kent to continue the party. When/Where: Dance 8-10 p.m. at Oscar Ritchie Hall, then downtown Kent (location TBD) Admission: $10 per person. A portion of ticket proceeds support the Black Alumni Chapter Scholarship.

Travel around the world from right here in the Ballroom! Attendees get to visit different countries via “passport”, taste food from around the world, and watch a showcase of cultural performances.

The Lake County Alumni Chapter and Greater Cleveland Alumni Chapter will host a tailgate party together before the Homecoming game! Starting at 10 a.m. and continuing until game time, enjoy food, beverages and great company.
Can’t make it to campus? Enjoy a live stream of the parade! The Homecoming Parade features floats, Kent State University and local high school marching bands, university colleges and departments, Kent State cheerleaders and student-athletes, community organizations, local officials and more!

Join the Stark County Alumni Chapter at 11 a.m. for food, drinks, games, activities and giveaways at their Homecoming tailgate. Alumni are welcome to bring a snack to share, but bringing your blue and gold pride is a must!
Watch or play in the annual alumni lacrosse game as we take on the current men's lacrosse club team. Registration and warm-ups start at 11 a.m. and the game begins at noon. There is no charge for recent graduates but we ask that other alumni contribute a $50 donation to support the team.
Take a tour of the Library, browse our digital collections, pet a therapy dog, see the exhibit in the Marovitz Gallery, take a picture in our photo booth and enjoy refreshments!
Join the KSU LGBTQ+ Center and LGBTQ+ Alumni Chapter to celebrate Homecoming with PRIDE. After the parade, meet at Bricco in downtown Kent for this no-cost event including free food and a chance to socialize in an inclusive, welcoming space.
