The Flash Activities Board (FAB) will take part in the Ceremonial Painting of the K. FAB members will paint the K blue in Risman Plaza to showcase their KSU pride and signify the start of Homecoming Week.
4th Annual DiversiFEST As part of Kent State University’s annual homecoming celebration, the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will host the 4th annual DiversiFEST on Thursday, September 19, 2019. This festival is a celebration of Kent State University's culture and diversity. Attendees have the opportunity to learn more about the services and events the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion offers throughout the year. This is a family-friendly, free event open to the public. All are welcome! This celebration of diversity and inclusively will be held 4:00pm - 7:00pm at the Williamson House (located at 1200 S. Main Street). Attendees are invited to bring family and friends in addition to a chair or blanket and enjoy the music, food and games.
You're invited to the opening reception celebrating our two newest exhibits: "Culture/Counterculture: Fashions of the 1960s and '70s" & "Wearing Justice: A Tribute to May 4th." This reception is open to the public.
Go Pro is a career fair preparation event where students can come and learn ways to communicate their purpose, highlight strengths, and make a strong first impression at the Fall Internship, Co-op, and Career Fair. Kick-off homecoming weekend with a purpose! Students can visit various skill stations such as resume building, elevator pitch development, and professional dress. There will also be access to several Alumni/Professional panel discussions. Refreshments will be provided.
This Pre-Homecoming Networking Event is an extension of the Go Pro! Career Fair Prep Event where current students will have an opportunity to connect with professionals and alumni of Kent State University. This is a great way for alumni to share their personal experiences of transitioning from being a college graduate to becoming a professional while helping students prepare for the Fall Internship, Co-op, and Career Fair. Refreshments will be provided!

The Division of Graduate Studies invites you to enjoy an evening of live music, hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer. Held in the spectacular Architecture Building. This networking social will be open to all alumni and their guests.In addition, alumni interested in advancing their careers with one of the more than 400 doctoral, masters and certificate programs offered at Kent State will have the opportunity to connect with faculty and alumni from graduate programs across the university. All prospective students submitting an application from September 15th through September 22 will have their application fee waived. With convenient on-site parking on the corner of East Main Street and South Lincoln St., The Architecture Building is just north of downtown Kent. This event is open to you and one guest over the age of 21. Take advantage of this free event by registering online or by calling 330-672-2180.

Take a guided tour to see how the Kent State University Library has changed to meet the needs of today’s students! You can also cuddle up with therapy dogs and enjoy a historical walk through time as you browse through yearbooks . Light refreshments will be provided.

Visit the Wick Poetry Center at 126 S. Lincoln Street (next to the Architecture building). You’ll be able to talk to poets, tour the May Prentice House and Poetry Park, and add a few lines to our Global Peace Poem. All are welcome.

The School of Art is celebrating 50 years of our glass program with exhibitions and special artist and curator talks. Curator talk with Davin Ebanks will take place on Saturday, September 21 at 12:30 p.m. for the “Kent State Glass@50” exhibition in the CVA Gallery. This will take place during campus Homecoming celebrations and is free and open to the public at Center for the Visual Arts, 325 Terrace Dr., Kent, Ohio
Veterans Club and ROTC will host a tailgate together with food and beverages. Come out to meet other servicemembers/ veterans. Find us at the big ROTC tent in the East Lot of Dix Stadium.
