    The Department of Recreational Services is proud to offer a variety of inclusive, vibrant fitness and wellness programs for all fitness levels and abilities. In addition to open recreation, our fitness offerings include personal training and fitness consultations, massage and nutrition counseling. Customized programming such as presentations and custom group exercise classes are also available.

    Club sports are student organizations formed by students with a common interest and desire to participate in a specific sport or activity. Club sports can best be described as the combining the team elements of varsity athletics with the recreational atmosphere of intramural sports.

    Intramural Sports

    Intramural sports are recreational sports, programs, and/or activities in which participants compete as teams or as individuals against other Kent State University intramural teams or individuals. Intramural sports are designed to be recreational in nature.

    Recreational skating, figure skating, ice hockey, birthday parties, and private rentals are just a few things to consider while at the Ice Arena. The Ice Arena offers a multi-purpose meeting room, skate sharpening, and a full-service snack bar which accepts KSU Flashcards.

    The Adventure Center is the umbrella for a variety of programs and services through the Department of Recreational Services. Some of the highlights of the Adventure Center include Crooked River Adventures, adventure trips , instructional clinics, teambuilding programs, and the climbing wall.

    Aquatics

    Aquatics programs include Learn to Swim group lessons, Learn to Swim private/semi-private lessons, Golden Splashes youth swim team and the Kent State Swim Club adult swimming group. The Aquatics area is also responsible for offering a number of safety certifications and courses.
