The Dean of Students serves as the university's primary student advocate and assists the Senior Vice President for Student Life in the leadership of the division.
The Dean of Students manages departments that provide advocacy, support, and well-being services. The Dean also works with the Division of Student Life and the broader university community to support students in crisis, promote a culture of advocacy and helping behaviors, encourage students to engage in responsible citizenship and take responsibility for their actions, and engage in community partnership to enhance resources and support for students of Kent State.

It is such an honor to serve as the Associate Vice President for Student Life and the Dean of Students here at Kent State University. Our efforts in the Office of the Dean of Students support the co-curricular experience and enrich opportunities for student success. We advocate for students, and in supporting our students we also serve as a resource for parents, faculty, staff, and the larger Kent community. Our top priority is our students and we encourage them to take full advantage of the opportunities offered here at Kent State.
