Young learners in grades 3-8 can find STEM camps, campus tours and other learning opportunities on Kent State’s Kent Campus and several of our Regional Campuses. These programs are designed so that young students can explore their interests and discover the STEM areas they enjoy most.

Girls Geared for Engineering Summer Camp
Campers will experience the intersection of imagination and engineering on the Kent State University campus in this multi- disciplinary, week-long day camp in July.

Summer STEM and Innovation Camps

Nikki Kukwa Memorial Aeronautics Camp
Fifteen female, high school students will receive a free, three-day camp experience, July 13 - 15, 2022, through the Nikki Kukwa Memorial Aviation Fund and Kent State University’s College of Aeronautics and Engineering.
TRIO Upward Bound Summer Institute
Three federal Pre-College/TRIO Upward Bound programs (Classic, Math Science and Health Professions) that seek to increase educational opportunities and diminish barriers for first-generation, low-income students and families through comprehensive services in targeted school districts.

Scholarships and Aid for Incoming STEM Students
Choose Ohio First - This scholarship opportunity is offered to new Kent State students who are residents of Ohio and have motivation for STEM education and engaging in work-based learning experiences.
College of Aeronautics and Engineering (CAE) Scholarships – Students majoring in a CAE program ranging from incoming first-year students through undergraduate seniors are eligible to apply. Varying criteria and areas of study. Apply with a single application!
