The Washington Program in National Issues (WPNI) is a 15-week, 15 credit-hour academic program offered every Spring Semester.  A select group of juniors and seniors across academic disciplines study domestic and international political processes and policies firsthand in the most dynamic and stimulating political atmosphere in the world: Washington, D.C.

The program's three primary objectives are:

  1. Facilitate learning about U.S. and international political systems and policy issues.
  2. Develop an understanding of the interrelationship of public issues and structures of government.
  3. Encourage individual initiative and provide for experiences in internship and research.
