The Washington Program in National Issues (WPNI) is a 15-week, 15 credit-hour academic program offered every Spring Semester. A select group of juniors and seniors across academic disciplines study domestic and international political processes and policies firsthand in the most dynamic and stimulating political atmosphere in the world: Washington, D.C.
The program's three primary objectives are:
- Facilitate learning about U.S. and international political systems and policy issues.
- Develop an understanding of the interrelationship of public issues and structures of government.
- Encourage individual initiative and provide for experiences in internship and research.
