CONGRATULATIONS 
CLASS OF 2022

Dear Spring Graduates:

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation. Due to large number of students participating, all graduates will be seated together. Please view the Kent Campus ceremony schedule and details below to help you prepare to attend your in-person ceremony at Manchester Field or your virtual ceremony online.

All in-person ceremonies will adhere to Flashes Safety Principles. If you experience any Covid symptoms: Stay home, contact your medical provider and call the COVID Response Team at 330-672-2525.

FRIDAY, MAY 20, 2022 - MANCHESTER FIELD 

CHECK-IN

  • Doors will open one hour before your ceremony start time. 
  • Please arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of your ceremony. 
  • There are two check-in tents near the main Commencement tent on Manchester Field. 

SEATING AND TICKETS

  • Remember to download your tickets prior to arriving at commencement. 
  • A live simulcast of the ceremony will be available in the Student Center KIVA for guests without tickets. 
  • Seating areas for graduates and guests will be tented. All Class of 2022 graduates will be seated together.
  • Accessibility seating and other reasonable accommodations will be available to guests at Commencement. Guests in need of accommodations should arrive no less than 60 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony and see an usher to be seated. Seating in these reserved areas cannot be guaranteed once the ceremony begins.
     

PARKING AND SHUTTLES

  • All parking lots are open on Commencement Day. Handicap parking is available. Shuttles will run to and from the ceremony venue. 
  • drop-off permit for guests in need of ADA accommodations can be displayed in the dash of the car window. 
     

DOCTORAL DEGREE CANDIDATES

  • Doctoral graduate seating will be reserved at the front of the main tent towards the stage.
  • Directly following the conclusion of the ceremony, Doctoral graduates will be able to pick up their diplomas at the blue student and guest check-in area as indicated on the ceremony map.
     

INCLEMENT WEATHER 

  • The Commencements will be held rain or shine. Severe weather (thunderstorms, lightning, tornado watch and/or warning) may lead to postponement. Communication on event delays due to inclement weather will be posted on the Commencement website and also emailed to the graduates' FlashLine account.
