Online Checklist for Graduation and Commencement

1. Log into FlashLine 

  • Apply to Graduate
  • Confirm your personal information: Name, Major, Degree and Diploma Mailing Address 
  • Remove a Student Directory Restriction 
  • CLOSED: RSVP in FlashLine February 12 - April 6.
    • Graduation Candidates whose application for graduation has been tentatively accepted by their advising office for the current term will be contacted via their Kent email account to RSVP.   




3. Download Guest Tickets

  • Current Term Graduates who complete the RSVP by April 6 will have access to 6 ceremony tickets for their guests to attend the ceremony.  The link to complete the ticket download will be posted on this webpage in addition to an electronic notification that will be sent to each candidate via their FlashLine email account before the close of business on April 16.
    • Graduates should login to the site using their FlashLine email address and provide their KSU ID number as the password. 
  • Requesting Additional Tickets
    • Graduates can give back unused tickets to their peers during their ticket download! If there are additional tickets available in the give-back pool of the ticketing site, you will be able to request up to two additional guest tickets. If extra tickets aren't available, be sure to check the ticketing website give-back pool throughout the semester!

  • Graduate Check In and Guest Seating will begin at 7 a.m. 
    • Graduates report to the Field House to check in no less than 90 minutes prior to the ceremony start time with cap and gown. Detailed ceremony reporting instructions will be sent to your FlashLine email. 

7. After the Ceremony

7. Diploma Mailing 

  • Diplomas will be mailed upon final approval to the graduate’s diploma address approximately 8-10 weeks following the ceremony.
    • Spring 2018 diploma pick up will be at 108 Schwartz Center June 18-20, 2018 from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.  Only degree recipients will be permitted to pick up diplomas.  A photo ID or passport will be required.
    • Remaining diplomas will be mailed from the Registrar's Office on June 21, 2018 to the graduate's diploma address (if identified) or permanent address in FlashLine.
