Homecoming Parade & Court
There is a lot of excitement around Homecoming 2021 at Kent State.
Plans are underway! Don’t miss this year’s festivities.
Each year, Homecoming brings unparalleled excitement to campus. The parade and announcement of Kent State royalty are two of the signature events that make Homecoming weekend so special.
Homecoming Grand Marshal
We are excited to announce that the Class of 2020 has been selected as the 2021 Homecoming Parade Grand Marshals. The parade is one of Kent State’s oldest Homecoming traditions, and we can’t wait to honor your achievements during it!
The role of grand marshal is typically reserved for famous alumni, notable leaders and other dignitaries - but we feel each of you deserves a crowd of cheering fans to honor your achievement! As the Homecoming Parade Grand Marshal, you are invited to lead the parade as it makes its way down E. Main Street and past the front campus.
The Kent State Homecoming parade will feature floats, Kent State and local high school marching bands, university colleges and departments, Kent State cheerleaders and athletes, student organizations, local officials, and more! The grand marshal and homecoming court anchor the parade which stepped off at 10:30 a.m. from the corner of Midway Dr. and Main St. All are welcome to watch the parade by “The Rock” on Front Campus.
Kent State will feature representatives from across the eight-campus system to make up the 2021 Homecoming Courts. The Homecoming Courts on every campus will take part in the Homecoming parade and the Homecoming Royalty will be announced during halftime of the football game.
