Larry and Sandy Disbro are lifelong members of Kent State University Alumni Association’s Lake County Alumni Chapter and serve as board members as well as officers for the chapter (president, vice president, treasurer and historian). Both Larry and Sandy are also life members of the Kent State University Alumni Association and have actively supported Kent State initiatives for more than 40 years. 

Larry is a member of the Kent State University Golden Flashes Club and Honorary Varsity K. He has served on the Kent State University Intercollegiate Athletic council since 2009. And served on the Kent State University National Alumni Board of Directors from 1995 through 2002 and served as secretary for a year.  Sandy has volunteered with the Kent State Admission’s Office, served as Homecoming parade judge for more than 10 years and also has co-chaired several committees for the Lake County Alumni Chapter. 

As a student at Kent State, Larry was selected for Gamma Theta Upsilon, International Honorary Geographical Society, co-founded the Ohio Kappa Chapter, Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and played on the Kent State baseball team. Sandy was also very active during her time at Kent State. She was part of the  Kent State Dance Team, Flasherettes and tennis team.

Larry and Sandy are avid Kent State sports fans and longtime season ticket holders. Their daughter, Kellee Disbro, ’06 is also a Kent State graduate and has been involved with the Kent State Alumni Association's Southern California Chapter.
