eSports

eSports have arrived at Kent State. eSports (electronic sports) is a name given to competitive, multiplayer computer gaming with an added spectator and entertainment component.

Kent State University is excited to announce our inaugural Spring gaming event - May 5, 2018

The event will be held at the Kent Campus Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MACC). The event will include an in-person, 6v6, single-elimination Overwatch tournament with a $6,000 scholarship prize pool as well as a Hearthstone Fireside Gathering, a League of Legends information session, prizes and giveaways, and will offer more information about eSports at the University. Play is open to any Kent State University or high-school student, proof of identification will be required at check-in. If you don't have a team of six, join our discord server to find more friends or register as a 'free agent' to be matched with another team.
