What is your current occupational position or career, and what are your job responsibilities?

Director, Special Projects and Operations, Kent State Geauga & Twinsburg Academic Center. I provide leadership for the Geauga campus on strategic initiatives, grantsmanship, DEI&B, and Student Success & Retention

How did the EVAL/RMS program prepare you to obtain or advance in your career?

The RMS program has deepened my understanding of research designs and analysis which has greatly informed my work on retention initiatives. From analyzing large data sets to developing meaningful data collection techniques, I have applied knowledge from this program to numerous projects that are tied to our campus’ retention goals.

What did you most enjoy about the EVAL/RMS program, or being a student at Kent State University?

I appreciated the faculty in the program. Even though this was a fully online program, my course faculty communicated well, asked probing questions, and designed their courses in a way that facilitated meaningful interactions with my peers. The activities and projects were also aligned with real-world problems, and as a student, I liked the fact that I could pick data within my own research interests.

Any other information about yourself that you would like to provide?

This was a great program for working professionals who need to balance their work, home and professional lives!
