Kent State Community Invited to First Look at College of Business Administration Building Design Proposals

The Kent State University community is invited to a special public presentation to learn about proposed designs for a new College of Business Administration building on April 12 from 6-8 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom.

As a part of a building design competition, Kent State is inviting finalists to present their concepts for this transformational project. Through the competition, the university seeks to select a development team for the project.

The proposed new College of Business Administration building is part of the university's Gateway to a Distinctive Kent State, a $1-billion master plan to transform the Kent Campus and improve facilities over 10 years. Construction of the College of Business Administration building is part of the first phase of the plan's implementation.

The proposed building will be located on Main Street and will serve as an anchor in the transformation of Front Campus, which will include a signature gateway to the university, additional green spaces and a new parking deck.

The new building will include a variety of classroom and learning laboratories, faculty and administrative offices, study and gathering spaces, and common areas that will encourage greater collaboration among students, faculty, staff and business leaders. The new building will model the type of learning environment that best supports Kent State students who will become the business leaders and entrepreneurs of the future.

All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend this special event. Please RSVP online.

Light snacks will be provided.
