Admissions | Assistant Director, Regional Admissions (Columbus)

I started as an Admission Counselor at Ohio Dominican Universitya nd then spent time on the high school side, working for a College Access Organization in Columbus, Ohio called I Know I Can. I was a College Advising Manger at Mifflin High School and I really enjoyed helping students figure out their next step. I loved being a student at Kent State University and I am so excited to recruit students from Columbus (where I was born and raised) to find their home away from home in Kent, just like I did! I have three beautiful nieces and one nephew (with one more on the way). I love to run and workout, read and travel!

I worked in state government in Columbus, Ohio for 15 years before returning to this area to help my mom. She passed in April. I began helping smaller non profits utilize technology when I first moved to this area. I am an avid billiards player. My goal is to obtain a Cyber Security degree and help smaller non profits such as churches and food pantries maintain a safe internet presence.

Student Services and Engagement | Content Marketing and Communications Specialist

I grew up just down the road from Kent State in neighboring Stow, Ohio. After graduating from the University of Mount Union, I started my career in broadcasting and worked as a news reporter and production assistant for several radio stations. I also had the opportunity to be the ballpark announcer for the Akron RubberDucks. I spent some time working in marketing and communications roles for small associations in Columbus before coming back home to Northeast Ohio and now live in Columbiana, Ohio with my wife Dana. I enjoy playing tennis and cheering on the Browns, Cavs and Guardians.

University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid | Financial Aid Counselor

I am originally from New Jersey and came to Ohio to pursue a degree in Economics and English at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. I stayed home and raised my children and decided to pursue a career in Higher Education. I earned my M.Ed in Higher Ed. at KSU in 2008. My first job after graduating was as the Academic Advisor for the KSU College of Nursing Graduate Programs. In 2013, I accepted a position in the Bursar’s Office as a Manager and was responsible for overseeing the Perkins, Health Care and Institutional Loan portfolios. In December 2023, I was hired as a Financial Aid Counselor, and I am thrilled to be working in the Division of Enrollment Management! I feel like I have finally found my home at KSU. I have two children who live within twenty miles of me. I also have an amazing 2 ½ year old granddaughter who is bilingual. My hobbies include travelling, hiking in the woods, reading and I hope to rehab a house one day. My goal is to continue to learn new things, spend as much time as I can with my friends and family and learn to speak Spanish fluently.
