I chose Kent State for my graduate degree because of how much research and work is done in their surrounding community. I also felt very welcomed by the psychology department and saw how well they treated their graduate students.

The people at Kent State are very kind, helpful, and dedicated which is amazing since starting graduate school.

What are your future goals?

I would like to continue doing community based research and eventually open a community mental health center that specializes in culturally-relevant treatment models.

What does this award mean to you and how will it aid you?

This award shows me my department has confidence in me as a student and that moral support and boost will help me in transitioning into graduate school.
