373.10 SKATEBOARD OR OTHER WHEELED DEVICES ON SIDEWALK. (a) No person shall operate any skateboard or other wheeled device any of which are designed as a toy or for amusement of the rider, upon a sidewalk within a business district or upon a sidewalk where signs are erected prohibiting such operation. Bicycles are permitted on sidewalks within a business district and the use of which are regulated under the applicable sections of this code. No person shall operate a bicycle, skateboard or other wheeled device as described above, on any sidewalk in a reckless manner which endangers pedestrian users of the sidewalk. No person under fourteen years of age shall ride upon the street when sidewalks are available, outside a business district or upon a sidewalk where signs are erected prohibiting such operation. (b) Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
