Fostering Peace Education

Kent State and the University of Rwanda build on past tragedies to promote global peace.

Speaking Up About Mental Health

Kent State aims to achieve greater access to mental health care and well-being for all members of the university through a campaign, launched this fall, which focuses on awareness, acceptance and advocacy. We highlight eight mental health advocates who volunteered to share why they participated in the campaign poster.

  • In an ambitious new longitudinal research project and wellness program, Kent State researchers aim to follow more than 10,000 Kent State students during their time at college and over the decades that follow.

  • According to the Ohio Department of Health, Ohio averaged more than 1,700 suicide deaths yearly between 2016–2021. This fall, Kent State University began offering an evidence-based suicide prevention course in partnership with the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation.

Making Progress to Protect the Environment

Kent State University’s Environmental Studies Program gains renewed momentum after the pandemic pause.
