Final Day to Register to Vote is Oct. 9

Kent State University students, faculty and staff members who have not yet registered to vote have until Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 9 p.m. to complete their registration in time to vote in the Nov. 6 general election.

To register in person, come to the Reference Desk on the first floor of the Kent State University Library to fill out an Ohio voter registration form. Ohio residents will need to provide the last four digits of their social security number or driver’s license number to complete the registration form. Unfortunately, there is not enough time for out-of-state residents to complete a registration form in Kent and have it processed in their home state.

The Reference Desk at the library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., but those wishing to register are encouraged to be at the library no later than 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, in order to complete the registration form by the 9 p.m. deadline.

More than 900 voter registration forms have been completed at the library so far this fall.
