President of GMIS International

Professor Brian Kelly, MPA and Sociology Instructor, took the helm as President of GMIS International (www.gmis.org) in August.

Established in 1971, GMIS International is the most inclusive Government IT Association worldwide. With over 500 member agencies representing, city, county, state, and K-20 agencies across America, GMIS International represents the largest professional association of public sector IT leaders in the United States. GMIS International maintains relationships with seven international organizations including Australia, Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

GMIS was founded in Ohio in 1971 so it's an honor and privilege to serve the organization as President for the next year, especially as GMIS celebrates it's 45 anniversary next year.

"GMIS is one of my many professional associations I remain highly involved with as I continue on into my 25th year as CIO at Portage County and my 12th year as an instructor at KSU." ~Brian Kelley MPA, CGCIO
