Darcy Folzenlogen, MD, MPH, FACP

Dr. Darcy Folzenlogen is a retired emeritus professor of Internal Medicine, Child Health and Pathology at University of Missouri School of Medicine. She is also a faculty member in the department of Neurology and Sleep Medicine. She served as head of Immunology and Rheumatology at MU Healthcare for eight years, as a vice chairman of the department of Internal Medicine for two years, as well as various other administrative duties. Her love is patient care and teaching which she did for over 19 years at the University of Missouri. Over the last two decades she has served as a director of the Anti-Nuclear Antibody Laboratory and has taught the basic science and immunology of rheumatic diseases, both of which she continues today. She is currently earning a “climate in health” ambassadorship with the promise of advocacy, including three lectureships per year. She has also volunteered to serve as an advocate for and board member in the foster grandparent program, a federal program within the central Missouri community action center. She has worked with the natural gardeners over the last decade. This group focuses on native sustainable gardens at city schools and city parks. Folzenlogen helped with COVID-19 culture and vaccination events. She received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, and her MPH from Kent State University.
