Congratulations to Kent City Health Department on PHAB Accreditation

The College of Public Health is pleased to offer its congratulations to the Kent City Health Department for being awarded five-year accreditation status through the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB).

"The Kent City Health Department has been an active partner with the College of Public Health, providing internship and practicum opportunities for our students. It is a great opportunity for students to learn in community-based practice settings,” says Sonia Alemagno, dean of the College of Public Health.

Established in 2007, and supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, PHAB sets standards against which public health departments can continuously improve the quality of their services and performance.

Kent City Health Department achieved national accreditation through PHAB in March 2022, after undergoing a rigorous, multi-faceted, peer-reviewed assessment process to ensure it meets or exceeds a set of quality standards and measures.

Congratulations, Kent City Health Department, for this milestone accomplishment!
