Steve Paciorek, PhD, MPH

Dr. Steven Paciorek has been an instructor in the College of Public Health at Kent State University since 2015. He serves as the director of Community Health and Human Services for the City of Brecksville in Brecksville, Ohio. His position focuses on teaching individuals and stakeholders about healthy behaviors and preventing injury and the spread of disease throughout the community. More recently, he led the COVID-19 Task Force for Brecksville where he helped to create infectious disease policies and protocols for city employees and educated staff and residents on COVID-19 related matters. He has collaborated with many public health stakeholders in the community over his past twenty years including hospitals, health departments, and infectious disease experts. Paciorek received his bachelor’s degree in business administration, Master of Public Health, and Ph.D. in health policy and management all from Kent State University. He is the board president of several non-profit community organizations and has been a certified personal fitness trainer for over 30 years.
