Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship Launches Workshops to Help Professionals Improve Business Skills

KENT, Ohio – As part of Kent State’s Lifelong Learning initiative, the Kent State Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship announces the launch of workshops aimed to help professionals in rapidly-growing fields sharpen their business skills.

“Our goal is to provide today’s working professionals the skills they need to continue to advance in their careers,” said Christopher Groening, Ph.D., Interim Associate Dean for Graduate and Online Programs at the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship. “The digital transformation workshops were designed to keep students current with the changing technology environment.”

The first workshop series, “Digital Transformation,” is now enrolling. This series includes a workshop on the fundamentals of digital transformation; a second workshop in which participants choose a digital marketing, cybersecurity or healthcare management option; and a third digital project management workshop.

“The workshops are most suited for professionals who want to move into a management position, managers who wish to develop their skills and abilities, and business owners and entrepreneurs who wish to improve their managerial skills,” said Aviad Israeli, Ph.D., Senior Academic Program Director for EMBA and Executive Education at the Ambassador Crawford College.

The workshops are taught by faculty and industry experts. Students can progress at their own pace as workshops are entirely online. The goal is to provide students with skills and competencies that they can immediately implement.

Each workshop includes approximately 15 hours of instruction. Instructors will provide students feedback on their assignments and respond to students via email. Upon completion, students will receive a digital badge for use on LinkedIn, resumé and other professional materials.
