Judging Criteria and Winning Entries
The Office of Global Education staff will make the final selections for each category. Each photo and video will be judged with attention to how well it fits the chosen category, the story behind it, its authenticity and the quality.
One winner will be selected from each category and medium (photo and video), with 11 winners in total.
Entry Guidelines
- You must be a current Kent State student.
- Photos and videos must be from your time on a Kent State education abroad program.
- Photos and videos must be your own original work and cannot be AI-generated.
- Photos and videos should be appropriate (meaning that you’d be comfortable if your grandma saw it!).
- Photos and videos must be under 1GB each.
How to Enter
You must submit the following information for each photo or video:
- Date and location of the photo or video.
- Why you chose to submit the photo or video.
Submission Deadline
Since Kent State runs study abroad programs year-round, our 2025 contest is open from March 1, 2024 until Feb. 7, 2025.
Submission Deadline: Enter by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025.
