Pronoun Syllabus Statement - Full

Pronouns are the parts of speech we use to refer to someone instead of their name, and using the correct pronoun, just like using their correct name or title, is a way to show respect.  At Kent State, everyone has the right to be addressed by the name and personal pronouns that correspond to their gender identity, including gender neutral and neopronouns, for example: they/them/theirs, ze/zir/zirs, etc.  This course acknowledges people of all gender expressions and identities.  If you go by a different name or pronoun than what is on the class roster, please let me know.

Using the correct pronouns and name is a way to show respect and is important to me. If you would like to change your name or pronouns you can do so in Flashline (flashline.kent.edu). If you go by a different name or pronoun than what is on the class roster, please let me know. If mistakes are made by me or anyone else in the class, I encourage us to correct one another. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
