Hi, Drupalites, Fall semester is in full gear! With it comes our first round of updates that will impact many of your websites. Update Alumni Statistic on Your Site Three Times Per Year, Other Data Points Too If your site contains the number of Kent State alumni, those numbers must be updated three times per year - once after each commencement. The current number should say “the worldwide alumni family exceeds 273,500.”  Please note: In October, the number will need to be updated to reflect our summer 2023 graduates. Stories of friendship and loss set against the backdrop of May 4 memorabilia and a ’60s soundtrack were the focal points of a listening party held Sept. 21 as part of “Snapshots in Time: The Lives of Four Students” held at the May 4 Visitors Center. The “Snapshots in Time” exhibition provides a more personalized remembrance of the four students who lost their lives during the events of May 4, 1970, at Kent State University when the Ohio National Guard fired on Kent State students during an anti-war protest. The School of Information and the College of Communication and Information are pleased to introduce the newest member of the iSchool faculty, Dong Whi Yoo, who assumes the role of Assistant Professor in User Experience.   Professor Yoo joins us from Georgia Tech where he recently earned his Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing. He also served as a visiting scientist at Northwell Health to explore the design space of artificial intelligence in healthcare contexts.
