Roe Green May 2018

Kent State University alumna Roe Green admits she’s counting down the days to May 12. That’s the day she’ll both deliver the spring commencement address and receive a special honor after the Kent State Board of Trustees approved awarding her a Doctor of Humane Letters, an honorary degree.

The first-ever Day of Giving raised needed funds from more than 350 alumni, friends and partners in just 24 hours. The blue and gold community came together in support of a variety of scholarships as part of the university’s Forever Brighter comprehensive campaign.
