The Kent Keyboard Series continues its 2021-2022 season presenting Min Kwon’s America/Beautiful project, a collaboration with 75 American composers to write variations on “America The Beautiful,” performed by Kwon.

On Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, the Kent State Wind Ensemble traveled to Cleveland’s Severance Music Center as a featured ensemble of the Northeast Ohio Band Invitational (NEOBI).

Tabitha Ott, M.F.A. '12, is a metalsmith who currently resides in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She transforms objects and materials that would normally be thought of as waste into wearable art through repurposing and upcycling. By utilizing color, movement, and tactile qualities, she encourages a playful interaction between the wearer/viewer and the artwork.

Three weavings by artists in the Line by Line exhibition

"Line by Line," presented by Kent State University School of Art Galleries, features artists Erin M. Riley, Samantha Bittman, Crystal Gregory, Diedrick Brackens, Kira Dominguez Hultgren, and collaborators Barrow Parke. The exhibition, curated by Janice Lessman-Moss, will be on view at the Center for the Visual Arts (CVA) Gallery from Jan. 25 through March 11, 2022, with an opening reception on Friday, Jan. 28 from 5-7 p.m.
