Sketching, drawing, doodling. For some, these activities occupy us in class or in a meeting. But for Kizito Nkundamahoro, his artistic hobby evolved into a passion that drew an amazing opportunity at Kent State University.

All this week, the Kent State University Kent Campus has offered a full slate of events in its 2023 Education Abroad Showcase, which serves as an introduction to the university’s education-abroad opportunities across the globe. Hosted by Kent State’s Office of Global Education, the theme for this week’s events is “Discover Boundless Horizons: Explore, Learn and Thrive Globally!” 

When she signed up for the Kigali Summer Institute in Rwanda, Kent State University senior Emily Spencer, thought it would be a good training ground for humanitarian work she hopes to perform in the future. When she returned from the three-week course, she felt significantly changed.
