Parking Deck Project

Detail: Phase 1 of the Kent Gateway Plan includes a parking deck anchored by the new Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship Building.
- Rendering 1 – View of parking deck from the north: This rendering shows the transformation of the Terrace Drive and Midway Drive area of campus. Anchored by the new Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship building, the campus will have a singular, clearly defined gateway into campus from East Main Street. The new parking deck facilitates the extension of the iconic Front Campus’ parklike green space into this area of campus. The realignment of Terrace Drive to Midway Drive provides an enhanced pedestrian experience in this area.
- Rendering 2 – View of parking deck from the southwest: This rendering shows how the new Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship building and its associated outdoor spaces enhance the campus landscape in this area. The gently curving, realigned Terrace Drive in the foreground provides improved pedestrian and vehicular movements in the area. The parking deck is shown in the distance built into the hillside to reduce its apparent size and visual impact while still making available adequate, convenient parking.
