Paul Sturm currently serves as the executive director of Kent State University’s Corporate Relations. By serving as the bridge between university stakeholders and corporations, Corporate Relations functions as a centralized point of service for external corporate relationships, identifying and matching a company’s strategic interests to the university’s research, programs, initiatives and talent. By connecting these corporate interests and Kent State resources, Corporate Relations supports the ongoing efforts of all involved to make their mark on a regional, national and global scale.
Before joining Kent State in August 2018, Paul served as Director of Strategic Development, Purdue University Discovery Park; Director of Development and Marketing, Indiana University Art Museum; Adjunct Faculty, Indiana University School of Public & Environmental Affairs; Vice President of Corporate Sales, TechSkills; President, ITCAP; and Station Manager, WUCX-FM.
In addition to his professional responsibilities at Kent State, Paul serves as a board member for the Network of Academic Corporate Relations Officers (NACRO).
Paul received his Bachelor of Arts in Music and Telecommunications from Indiana University in 1983, and in 2001 earned his M.B.A. from the University of Arizona, Eller School of Management.
