Gregory A. Long, ’71

Greg has over 40 years of public accounting experience in the areas of General Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, and Management Advisory Services. He worked five years for Premier Industrial Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange company, as a Staff Accountant, Internal Auditor, and Director of Operations and Finance. He is co-founder, President, and former Managing Partner of Long, Cook & Samsa, Inc., CPA's, a local accounting firm in Wooster, Ohio. He was originator, former member of the Board of Directors, and Audit Committee Chairman of Ohio Legacy Bank (now Premier Bank & Trust). Most recently, Greg is founder and curator of the Long Military Museum.
Greg belongs to the following professional organizations: American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Ohio Society of Certified Public Accounts, Institute of Management Accountants, American Society of Military Comptrollers, and the Kent State University Accounting Advisory Council.
Most recently, Greg received the Kent State University Dean's Alumni Spirit Award in 2010 and the Cliff Dochterman - Rotary and Scouting Community Service Award in 2014.
