Marie L. Sofsak passed away on Nov. 20, 2025. She attended Kent State University at the Kent Campus 1976-1984. She earned a Bachelor of Science in geology (1982) and a Bachelor of Science in education (1986). She taught every science at the secondary school level for 33 years in Alliance, OH, and the Seattle - Kirkland area in Washington State. She was an inspirational educator, with many of her students achieving success in a variety of fields including science and engineering, finance, medicine and education. She will be missed.
