A Stroll Through Florence
Join us for a live virtual adventure through Florence, Italy where Rocky Ruggiero, Italian Renaissance expert and professor of art and architectural history, guides us through the streets of the great Renaissance city to admire its beauty and to see how the city is coming back to life after months of lock down. Stroll across the Ponte Vecchio, admire the statues in Piazza Della Signoria, wander down the Via Calzaiuoli past the grain-market-turned-church of Orsanmichele and then marvel at the overwhelmingly beautiful Duomo of Florence.
Experience and appreciate the beauty of Florence just like students do when they participate in Kent State's Florence Study Abroad program. Kent State has been educating students in Florence for almost 50 years. From architecture to fashion to hospitality management, Kent State Florence is a comprehensive academic and cultural program.
The cost to attend is $20. All proceeds will support Study Abroad Scholarships. The deadline to register is Thursday, May 20.
A video recording of the live virtual tour will be available for unlimited streaming at your convenience for seven days after the event if you register in advance.
