About the Presenters: Kristin Williams and Michelle Adkins

Kristin Williams

Kristin Williams, executive director of Career Exploration and Development, leads the charge for the integration of the career development process into the culture of the University, including the creation of career communities and the scaling of the career ecosystem.  She focuses her work on career education, employer relations, career community development, student employment as a high impact practice, and career events.  With a collaborative approach to her work, she has been a part of the University-wide efforts to secure private funding and corporate partnerships to yield more than $1M in funding to support career programming and our students’ participation in internships, co-operative education, and more. 



Michelle Adkins joined the Career Exploration & Development (CED) team in May 2019 and in August 2020 assumed a split position as Associate Director, Career Services with Kent State College of Business Administration and CED.  Michelle provides leadership to students pursuing a career in the business industry as well as those seeking opportunities in health sciences.  Michelle also provides leadership to Career Exploration and Development’s Flashternship program and has worked with the Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement to recruit alumni as possible Flashternship hosts.
