Virtual Faculty Lecture: Celebrating the Negro Leagues 100 Years Later
Join us online, for a virtual faculty lecture!
The first Negro League was founded in Kansas City in 1920. Others soon followed and thousands of African Americans got the chance to play. This faculty lecture will feature Dr. Leslie A. Heaphy, associate professor in the Department of History for Kent State at Stark. She will highlight some of the key events, teams, players and owners from the Negro Leagues as we celebrate the centennial this year.
All registered participants will receive an email with a link to access the Zoom meeting on Wednesday, June 24 by 3 p.m. EST.
The presentation will begin at 8 p.m. EST on Wednesday, June 24.
