Lake County Alumni Chapter

The Lake County Alumni Chapter serves more than 5,000 alumni living in Lake County. As the first and oldest chapter, chartered in 1965, the Lake County Alumni Chapter has hosted six of the University's current and past presidents as the keynote speaker at the annual Blue and Gold Dinner held in the spring.

The dinner is hosted to award the Lake County Alumni Chapter Scholarship. In addition to the dinner, the chapter regularly hosts a networking and wine tasting event in the fall, a Lake County Captions pregame social, a Porthouse Theatre performance and post-production party with the Cleveland Alumni Chapter and many other exciting events.

Lake County Alumni Chapter Scholarship

The chapter awards multiple scholarships annually to students from Lake County who attend Kent State University. The traditions started in 2008 to raise the $25,000 endowment level and took only three years to accomplish. The chapter is proud to have helped 11 students with over $20,500 donated.

Congratulations to the students who have been recipients of the scholarship. The following are recent award recipients:

Brian Chanda, 2011,12
Andria Kleis, 2012-13
Kayla Kosmerl, 2013-14
