Alumni and Giving

We engage and inspire alumni, friends and partners to connect with and give through Kent State -  transforming the lives of our students and creating an impact throughout our communities. Whether you want to reconnect with classmates, attend exclusive events, mentor students or contribute to the causes that mean the most to you, there’s a way for every Golden Flash to make a difference.

Join Us for Kent State's Most Generous Annual Tradition

Our month-long Giving Tuesday campaign runs from Nov. 1 - Dec. 1, and it's all about coming together as students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends to show the power of generosity. We all have a reason to give. Maybe you want to help students earn their degree, or fuel groundbreaking research. Maybe you want to create a stronger community or honor a loved one with a memorial gift. Whatever your reason... it matters.

Veterans Day Commemoration is Nov. 10

Join the Kent State community to honor the courage, sacrifice and service of those who have worn our nation’s uniform. This moving outdoor ceremony, also livestreamed for those who can’t attend in person, offers a moment of reflection and gratitude. After the ceremony, guests are invited to an appreciation lunch in the Kent Student Center and to plant daffodil bulbs behind Taylor Hall to honor the U.S. service members who lost their lives in the Vietnam War.

Join Us for a Performance of "Bright Star" on Nov. 22

Immerse yourself in an unforgettable afternoon of storytelling and music with a matinee performance of "Bright Star," presented by the School of Theatre and Dance. Inspired by a true story, “Bright Star” is a deeply emotional musical that weaves an uplifting journey of love, loss and redemption across the American South of the 1920s and 1940s.

Marie Rader and Jim Angiulo Invest Millions in Kent State Students

Those beliefs have inspired a deep commitment to Kent State University and its students. The local philanthropists recently committed $6.4 million to support students studying nursing, fashion and music.
