  • Ms. Carly Evans is a senior public relations major in Kent State’s College of Communication and Information, with a minor in political science in Kent State’s College of Arts and Sciences. She is a member of Black United Students, a Kent State student organization that works to serve and unify students of color. She has also served as a member of Kent State’s Sister Circle, an initiative that aims to enrich the educational and leadership development of female students of color.

    Evans served two years as a Kent State Flashguide, welcoming and introducing students and their parents to the university. In her freshman year, she took part in the Provost’s Leadership Academy. As a university Peer Leader, Evans mentored students in the First-Year Experience Course and served as a Peer Leader trainer. Evans currently works with Kent Student Center Programming to coordinate and host free events for students on campus. Evans also works as a student intern in University Communications and Marketing writing for e-Inside through Flash Communications.

    Evans is a 2014 graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School. She was a member of the National Honors Society and served on student council where she helped with service projects benefitting University Hospitals Portage County Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio. She also organized food drives for homeless shelters in the city of Kent.
