Kent State/NEOMED Biomedical Sciences graduate students earn top prizes for poster competition

 

Kent State/NEOMED Biomedical Sciences graduate students Kevin Budge and Rachel Corrigan earned top honors at the 2019 Cleveland Brain Health Initiative Retreat held at Case Western University on August 29th. Kevin won first place and Rachel won second place from among fifty presentations from top labs and institutions in the region. Kevin’s advisor is Dr. Fayez Safadi, Professor of Anatomy and Neurobiology at the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). Rachel’s advisor is Dr. Gemma Casadesus Smith, Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at Kent State University. Kevin and Rachel’s accomplishments reflect on the outstanding quality of our students and the BMS/Neuroscience training program between Kent State, NEOMED and the Cleveland Clinic.
