Engineering Technology at Tuscarawas

About

The Engineering Technology program offered at Kent State Tuscarawas is a career-oriented program which connects students to the broad manufacturing industry in the east central part of Ohio for both internships and subsequent careers. The Engineering Technology program at Kent Tuscarawas consists of two Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees, one in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology and the other in Mechanical Engineering Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering Technology with four concentrations to cover a broad range of disciplines.

Both the AAS and BS Engineering Technology degrees offered at Tuscarawas are fully ABET accredited. The accreditation shows that these degrees have been recognized to meet the global standard for technical education in the engineering technology profession. It enhances the employment opportunities of our graduates, as many multinational corporations require graduation from an accredited program. It also supports the ability of our BS Engineering Technology graduates to pursue a Professional Engineers license, as graduation from an ABET-accredited program is a minimum qualification.

The Tuscarawas campus works closely with local industry through an Industrial Advisory board to provide relevant education to meet their needs, resulting in curriculum initiatives and revisions when necessary. This partnership and cooperation will provide Choose Ohio First scholars with the relevant and updated skills to gain meaningful employment of impact to the community.
