Coronavirus Dashboard - V4

This COVID-19 dashboard provides data on positive COVID-19 cases related to Kent State University’s 8-campus system. The data represents outcomes from tests conducted at the Deweese Health Center as well as self-reported information from those in our community who have been tested elsewhere.

Also included below is the current status of operations for each Kent State University Campus. Circumstances and changes in operations may vary from campus to campus, and modifications in instruction delivery and operations will be made accordingly.

There is no definitive number of positive cases that would lead to a change in campus operations, however several indicators are monitored and evaluated continually, including the number of positive cases and the availability of tests and PPE supplies. These factors play a critical role in evaluating the status for each campus.

Kent State is prepared for all situations, including the possibility that we must adjust our mix of in-person and remote courses (meaning that some courses currently taught in-person may move to remote delivery, while courses that cannot be delivered remotely continue to be delivered in-person), or once again convert to all remote instruction, whether it be for a few weeks or a longer duration.

University leaders and health experts monitor all state and federal guidelines and are prepared to react quickly to ensure the health and safety of the entire community.

Current Positive Cases by Campus

This represents outcomes from tests conducted at the Deweese Health Center as well as self-reported information from those in our community who have been tested at another location.

* This information will be updated weekly on Tuesdays.
** N/A indicates no current positive cases or the number of current positive cases is too small to report to ensure the privacy of the individuals.

Residence Halls:
All students living in the residence halls for the Spring 2022 semester participated in testing prior to move-in. Kent State partnered with Vault Health to provide students with an at-home, saliva-based COVID-19 test to be completed and returned before you move into your residence hall. Students received an email in early January with specific details on how to request and complete the take-home kit.

All students who live in residence halls who are not fully vaccinated or exempt from testing must take part in weekly COVID-19 testing. Fully vaccinated residence hall students and those who are exempt due to having tested positive for COVID-19 within the prior 90 days will have to submit documentation to support their exemptions.Find testing information. All residence halls will be in use again this spring except Centennial Court E, Centennial Court F, and Verder. These three halls will be used for quarantine and isolation needs. Students living on-campus this spring are assigned to a single or double occupancy room only.
