Flu Shots and COVID-19 Boosters

Dear Kent State University Students, Faculty and Staff,

Before gathering for the holidays with friends and family, please protect yourself and your loved ones by getting up-to-date on your immunizations.

Bivalent booster shots have been formulated to provide additional protection against omicron variants of COVID-19. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends bivalent booster shots be given at least two months after completion of the COVID-19 vaccine series or any previous COVID-19 booster and at least 90 days after someone has had COVID-19.

Make an Appointment

Flu shots and COVID-19 boosters are available daily at DeWeese for all students, faculty, staff and their dependents, regardless of campus. COVID-19 vaccines and boosters and flu shots also are available through these links at a variety of state locations, many of which are more convenient for our regional campuses.

On the Kent Campus, register for a Flu shot or COVID-19 booster by visiting the DeWeese patient portal or by calling 330-672-2322. If using the online portal, you will be asked to register for a patient account first before you can schedule an appointment.

Visit DeWeese for more information on flu shot clinics or all other immunizations, including COVID-19 vaccines and boosters.

Test Before You Go

Don’t forget to take a COVID-19 test before heading home or visiting friends. COVID-19 test kits are available on all Kent State campuses. Immunization is our best offense for keeping our campus community healthy during the upcoming holiday season. Please get yours!
