Residence Hall COVID-19 Risk Levels

Greetings!

I hope you are adjusting back to campus and classes well!

I also hope your weekly COVID-19 testing is going smoothly so far. In addition to weekly COVID-19 testing, we have two additional opportunities for you to stay up to date on COVID-related happenings in the residence halls.

  1. The Coronavirus Dashboard now includes a Residence Hall Risk Levels tab. With the page now live, we invite you to follow the latest residence hall information by watching this site: http://www.kent.edu/covid-housing-risk-levels. This page will include the latest testing data and inform you of recommendations and requirements designed to help keep our communities safe.
  2. Residence Hall COVID-19 Risk Level Text Alerts. In response to feedback from Kent Interhall Council and Undergraduate Student Government, we will notify students who sign up for alerts via a text message if/when a community is placed under a Notice of Quarantine. Students interested in receiving these text alerts must sign up by Friday, Feb. 12. Instructions to subscribe can be found here: https://www.kent.edu/coronavirus/residence-hall-covid-19-risk-level-alerts.
  • Please note:
    • You cannot opt out. Should you elect to opt in, you will receive notifications for the remainder of the spring semester.
    • This series of text alerts will be activated on Tuesday, Feb. 16, when relevant.

Our community goal is to provide an environment in which all are safe to live, learn and work. We need your help to keep our communities safe!

Sincerely,

Jill Jenkins, M.Ed.
Executive Director, Residence Services
